Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning for an Athens, AL Home
Greener Southeast Upholstery & Flooring Care completed carpet and upholstery cleaning for a home in Athens, AL. The work order included approximately 490 square feet of carpet along with upholstery cleaning.
Keith Shannon personally completed the project using a Butler System truck mount and Saiger’s 10 Below Carpet Cleaning Pre-Spray. The cleaning process combined preparation, pre-treatment, agitation, hot-water extraction, and post-grooming to clean and refresh the surfaces.
How We Cleaned the Carpets
Keith followed a multi-step cleaning process to remove loose debris, distribute the cleaning solution through the carpet, rinse the fibers with hot water, and finish the carpet with post-grooming for appearance and quicker drying times.

Pre-Vacuum
Loose soil and debris were removed before wet cleaning began. -
Pre-Spray
Saiger’s 10 Below Carpet Cleaning Pre-Spray was applied to the carpet. -
Agitation
The pre-treated carpet was agitated before extraction. -
Hot-Water Extraction
The Butler System truck mount was used to extract the carpet with steaming hot water. -
Post-Grooming
The carpet was groomed after extraction for a uniform appearance and quicker drying times.
Equipment, Upholstery Cleaning & Final Results
The primary equipment for the project was Keith’s Butler System truck-mounted cleaning system. Saiger’s 10 Below was used as the carpet pre-spray. For the upholstery, a fabric-safe cleaner was pre-sprayed and allowed to dwell before hot-water extraction and post-grooming.
After the cleaning was complete, both the carpet and upholstery had cleaned up very well. The final grooming helped improve the finished appearance while supporting quicker drying.
